100th Blog Post

Superfine
38cm x 28.5cm
I cannot believe I have actually posted one hundred times on my blog since I started. I sometimes feel I ought to do another post otherwise my friends will think I am not painting but believe me I am still at it with my brushes but with a few distractions of late. By the time I get through Friday to Sunday with my studio open (one more weekend to go) and painting from 10 - 4pm on those days I feel a need for a bit of a break. I have also taken a position on the committee of our local art gallery (I can hear you say - oh no!) but someone has to do it. I said I will give it a go but if it interferes too much with my own art then I will change my mind. It will get me out of my own space a few times a month which will be good as I can easily become an "Art Hermit" as my husband leaves me to paint all day and he keeps the home going in so many ways. I didn't get into the studio until mid afternoon today but this fine Merino came together easily, still using my limited palette and experimenting with creating texture for the wool.

  1. Congrats on your 100th and what a beauty too to celebrate. Good Luck with the Committee. These must be flavour of the month all round. I've just agreed to be a Committee Member at my Art Society. It will be interesting to compare notes on how many grey hairs we have on our heads by the end of it perhaps. Enjoy!!! ;-)
