The Little Boat
38cm x 28.5cm

Have been resting my wrist as much as I can. Luckily I had a couple of delicious foodies painted and put aside and  "The Little Boat" with thanks for photo reference by Ruth Archer from Paint My Photo. I am still on track as I am making sure I start each painting day with a foodie warm up. I am enjoying these as they have no drawing in them and are free and easy little paintings.

  1. Beautiful boat painting Lorraine! I love the deep blue color! I hope your wrist is better. Your food paintings make me hungry! I love the idea that it refers back to the recipe.

  2. I had to play catch up madly at the end of the last challenge - and to be honest, this one is starting to be a bit of a struggle, but it was satisfying to have made it in the end. I use Running With Brushes as an outlet and inspiration for these 30 day paintings, and I can see your foodie pictures have the same role.

I think my favourite today is the pizza. Looks good enough to eat.

  4. Dear Lorraine - those foodies are super and the boat is magnificent. The waves are just super. Now what is a pickled cherry? We always eat ours in pie or jelly. Have a great day painting and take care of your wrist.

  7. Hi Lorraine! I find you did a great job with the boat and the sea. I always have trouble painting water. Love the foodies too! Have to stretch our imagination now to get to the end of the month. Good luck with your hand!

  8. Poor you with the RSI. Love the paintings! The water particularly grabs my attention. Great depths.
Has the weather improved for you yet? We only had two days in a row over 40 then some beautiful days in mid 20s. Heating up again now.

  9. Thanks everyone once again for your support. this is certainly getting to be a struggle. I am keeping up with a daily painting because of the little foodies. I am also working on bigger paintings but they are just taking more than a day to complete. BTW I have no idea what some of the ingredients are like Pickled Cherry or Labne, I am just drawn at this stage to the lovely photograph and whether or not I can paint it. I do feel quite hungry looking through the magazines finding my subject for the day
