From the Hot Centre

I recently chose a palette of hot colour to depict a trio of Emu in the Red Centre of Australia. With these colours in mind I changed it up a bit replacing just the blue (from French Ultra Marine) to Manganese blue hue. My Winsor & Newton tube might have been quite old as it was really hard to get the colour out even though I stood it in hot water, anyway it came out very thick and didn't thin out easily when I added water????.
This is Brolga and a young Joey from the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs. He may not think it looks like him but I feel I have captured the essence of what this inspiring shot I saw on facebook was all about and I thank him for kindly allowing me to use it. Should this work sell I will donate the price to his sanctuary.
